Across the country, people in public schools are facing increasing discrimination, censorship, and retaliation based on LGBTQ+ identity or advocacy for LGBTQ+ inclusion. Rainbow Classroom Advocacy Fund exists to make sure no one has to face that alone. We provide legal information, advocacy support, public education, and—when possible—financial assistance to individuals navigating discrimination in public education.
What we do.
Legal aid & advocacy
We provide legal information, referrals, and advocacy assistance to individuals in public school settings who experience discrimination, harassment, or retaliation based on LGBTQ+ identity or advocacy for LGBTQ+ inclusion.
Education & training
We develop and share educational resources, workshops, and trainings that help communities understand civil rights protections and inclusive educational practices.
Emergency & legal support
When permitted, we offer financial assistance to help cover legal costs, counseling, educational resources, or other urgent needs related to school-based discrimination.
Research & public education
We collect and share information about discrimination in public schools to support informed advocacy, effective responses, and systemic change.
